Coalition to bring Nationwide exposure in an effort to increase US manufacturing jobs and promote economic stimulus in the hospitality industry
LORIS, SC; May 3, 2011 – A multi media campaign developed as a result of the astounding facts surrounding the continuing loss of US manufacturing jobs will launch today in an effort to raise awareness of the need to keep US manufacturing here at home in the USA.
Integra Fabrics, one of South Carolina’s leading manufacturing companies, has joined forces with some of the nation’s most cutting edge manufacturers- Miliken, Fabri-Quilt Hospitality, AirDye Solutions, Wyoming Weavers, Tahoe and Hampton Prints – to bring this initiative to life.
“Over the last 10 years more than 5.5 million manufacturing jobs have been lost in the United States, and more than 40,000 U.S. manufacturing plants closed their doors in 2008 alone putting thousands of people out of work.” Much of this is attributed to Asian mills but the devastation is closer to home as well. “From 1993 to 2003, the US-Mexico trade balance went from a US net positive of $4.9 billion to a US net negative of $40.6 billion.” These facts can no longer go unnoticed and we felt that it was our duty and responsiblity to let people know you do have a choice to choose products made in the USA, and it does make a difference on many levels to our industry, the economy, our neighbors, and the financial stability of our country ” said Debbie McArthur, President of Integra Fabrics.
The new ads will run across a host of platforms including a series of full page ad placements in industry magazines, digital media, a comprehensive social media outreach including facebook, twitter, and linked-in, and other viral marketing which will include engaging the reader with facts and statistics regarding job loss, economic growth opportunites and quality messages.
